An Overwhelming Message
Many experience it; few listen to it. It's a commonly occurring emotion that many in both the business and private world experience every once in awhile. I'm talking about the emotion called "overwhelm."
You might say "Huh?" and "What's the coach talking about when he says few listen to it?"
These are good questions. They show that you're interested in knowing more. Let me share some background.
It's true what I say about many experiencing the emotion. It's just as true about many not listening to it. Most business professionals in high stress positions tend to train themselves not to listen to their emotions when it comes to business obligations. The priority is set in their minds to push forward at all costs, including the cost of their own health.
It doesn't have to be the case. It's just as easy and even more beneficial to all involved to listen carefully to the message that this emotion is sending. This is important in the experience of "overwhelm" since it will most likely impact more than just the person experiencing it.
