A Simple & Honest (Business) Plan
The biggest challenge for many small to mid size companies is the creation or updating of a business plan. To be effective, it must be honest and direct enough to support the owner and the staff to move successfully with the growth that normally happens with business operations. Whether your company is a startup or one that's been in operation for some time, having a document that clearly explains your business "instruction set" and "vision" will benefit it tremendously.
A format used by many to get this often daunting task underway is a very simple "Q&A" approach. Its simplicity is in its directness. It addresses most if not all of the basic issues that a small to mid size business must and should address during their normal business planning or evaluation stage.
The first thing to keep in mind is that business plans are living documents. They should work with you as a guide in directing your business where you truly want it to go. The business plan shared here is never to be looked at as a concrete instruction set, but as clear-cut supporting guidelines as to what you honestly want to bring about.
