Building Ruffish is a continuation of the Building Better Builders Series of Uncommon Masonic Education books that I began writing back in 2008. It is volume 6 of 12 that are planned to be published into the future.
Building Ruffish is about the allegory and lore associated with Ruffians that Freemasons refer to within the 3rd Degree Ritual also known as the Symbolic Lodge 3rd Degree. It's offered as a Field Guide that can be used to train Ruffianoscopists (a word that I coined to refer to "Ruffian Watchers") in identifying Ruffians in the field and to teach Watchers how to deal effectively with Ruffians when found.
Like most things that are Masonic, the focus is put forth outwardly but it is always intended to be directed inwardly to help refine the intended audience. In other words, the book is really not just about Ruffians, it's also about helping readers identify things that they can do to improve themselves.
These goals, of course, and having a lot of fun along the way.
